Wife of Paul, and famously lesbian, Jane Bowles was a fascinating anomaly. How to explain the relationship between these two authors; both equally queer? Jane’s writing was often (and even now) overshadowed by Paul’s (The Sheltering Sky, et al), yet in some ways her work was perfectly comfortable in the dark. Her wryly comic characters smuggle ferocious idiosyncrasies. In “Camp Cataract”, a

Narciso for her EDP concebido pelos perfumistas Christine Nagel e Francis Kurkdjian em 2003.

(Perfume review - English version)
The admirers of East Perfumery, exotic culture of Egypt and soft, versatile and sensual parfum oils will be excited to smell Egypthian Musk, one of the classic attars , best-seller of this exclusive niche from Middle Eastern. In Arab regions this parfum oil is the smell of the sweet beauty, the relaxing blessing , the sacred heart, the power of enchantment because of its various properties, Egypthian Musk is a must- have for everyone who whishes to be involved by this marvellous aura.
The fragrance is one of my favourites among my attars collection and the best fragrance to try if someone is not familiarized with Arabian perfumery and its intriguingly unusual smells. It is the best way to take less risk of having a feeling of strangeness when taste these exotic smells. I describe Egypthian Musk as a multiple attar, it is wearable for women and men, however my thoughts about the fragrance are related to female universe. The aroma is very feminine, warm, powerful and seductive ,but on the other hand, light, fragile and romantic, like a woman who desires to be complete as a woman, in all her senses, actions and emotions, in her real essence.
Just to give you an idea about the fragrance, Egypthian Musk is one of the notes included in the creation of the adorable Narciso for her EDP created by noses Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian in 2003. Narciso for her EDP has a blending of floral accords, musk, woods and vanilla, however sweetness and femininity are kept having the musk note as a key note.
There are some perfumes that we love at first whiff, work well on the olfactation, on each touch of skin and many amazing sensations at once. Egyptian Musk attar is a Rhila, as said in Arabic, means travel to the Ancient Egypth. The nose feels the parfum oil and, immediately, I am transported to these misterious and refined old times. The silky oil makes me full of life and power, completely vain, effusive and refined. The attar gets inside of my mind and I am in the Kingdom of Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt.
Apart from the apparent linear fragrance development, the notes blended with white musk, hints of secret and magical rosy accords and sweet-smelling musk which involve the senses fabulously, this pleasant smell brings some obsession with pulses, neck and all points where the parfum oil was spread. The same obsession felt by Cleopatra’s lovers, constantly seducing them, poisoning them by her intoxicating charm. A smell like the same poison that killed herself. The difference here is that Egyptian Musk is a stunning poison, so be bitten by this snake-attar.
