Body Kouros, Yves Saint Laurent

Body Kouros, um dos legados da perfumaria do saudoso Yves Saint Laurent (1936-2008), foi criado pela nez(nariz, em francês) Annick Menardo como uma representação do homem Kouros, palavra grega que simboliza a juventude masculina, o homem belo em virtudes, esculturalmente bem delineado em sua forma física, com corpo ereto e nu como símbolo da virilidade e da perfeição. No período greco-arcaico, as esculturas Kouros representavam homens jovens cujos atributos de harmonia, estética corporal, elegância e pura graça os concebiam como descendentes de Apolo, o Deus grego da beleza, das artes, da poesia e da música.

Para conceituar a fragrância Body Kouros, diferente do seu clássico antecessor Kouros (chipré especiado, tradicionalmente, amado ou odiado, criado por Pierre Bourdon in 1981), Annick Menardo criou um perfume mais jovial , incensado e adocicado, classificado como um oriental especiado com notas de incenso, noz moscada, eucalipto , cedro da China e notas resinosas de cânfora amadeirada (camphortree) e benjoin.

Se os deuses da Grécia Antiga eram imortais, mas seus sentimentos eram humanos, então os homens podem ter o desejo de imortalizar-se como divindades humanas usando Body Kouros. Deliciosamente perfumados como um Apolo que atrai musas para as mais diversificadas reações sensoriais e físicas.
Body Kouros penetra no âmbito deste cenário grego com o deleite de uma saída de notas incensadas e especiadas que atraem ninfas exuberantes no Olimpo. Este incenso é envolvido pela base que, ainda não totalmente balsâmica e doce, explode ondas verde-amadeiradas, tenuamente medicinais de eucalipto e Cedro, como um alucinógeno phármakon grego capaz de transferir homens e mulheres para o Olimpo, ao encontro das sensações da beleza entorpecedora de Afrodite, do amor erótico de Eros, do êxtase orgiástico de Dionísio e da arte poética de Apolo; para a contemplatação olfativa do divinal e do profano, da pureza e da luxúria, do bem e do mal.

A pele exala o aroma do Olimpo, tudo em um blending olfativo ornado de nuances cristalinas, porém viris. Cristalinas como musas de Apolo que dançam suavemente ao seu redor, enfeitadas com grinaldas, cítaras, rosas e túnicas transparentes; exibindo seus corpos virginais quase desnudos, na iminência de serem desposados com o mais belo e másculo dos membros.

Quando Apolo está completamente deslumbrado com o poder da sua fragrância sobre suas protegidas e amantes musas, um desconcertante efeito balsâmico toma lugar do espaço olímpico; doce e atrativo que, misturado à névoa incensada da fragrância, desperta o jovem Kouros para o prazer luxuriante. Vagarosamente, a composição é envolvida por notas sutilmente intensas de camphorwood e benjoim.
