The texture and even the scent are almost paint-like, but the smell fades as the foundation dries. Ultima II Wonderwear should be applied sparingly as it is dense and can otherwise cause a mask-like appearance. The package tends to make it difficult to remove only a small amount; this is the main drawback to this otherwise excellent product.
